Brian D. Terry – Founder of CIQ Systems & Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist
Brian D. Terry is a seasoned professional and the founder of CIQ Systems, a consultancy focused on quality systems, Lean manufacturing, and change management. With over 20 years of experience, Brian is an expert in driving operational excellence and transformation across industries such as defense, automotive, aerospace, medical, and more. Throughout his career, Brian has successfully led large-scale transformations at the plant, regional, and corporate levels, specializing in Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma, and Quality Management Systems (QMS). He is deeply committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, equipping teams with the skills needed to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and achieve measurable business outcomes. As a recognized leader in the field, Brian has worked with diverse, cross-functional teams, leading initiatives in areas such as value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and the implementation of advanced technologies like Industry 4.0 and digitalization. He has trained and mentored over 500 professionals in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, helping organizations implement sustainable changes that drive growth and innovation. In addition to his role at CIQ Systems, Brian serves as a Project Manager with Toptal and an Operational Excellence and Quality Consultant with MetaOps, Inc. He is also a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), and a Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) through ASQ. Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University and a Master’s in Lean Manufacturing from the University of Michigan.
